Awarded Baylor University New Track and Field on heels of OSU Track Completion
Fort Worth, Texas – In an era of building bigger and better college athletic facilities, two Big 12 Conference schools planned new running track facilities this year and both were contracted to Paragon Sports Constructors of Fort Worth, Texas.
In February, Oklahoma State University broke ground on a new track and field facility at their Stillwater, Oklahoma campus. Under contract to Crossland Construction, Paragon Sports Constructors constructed the new track base and managed the installation of the full-pour track surface, wrapping up the project mid-summer.
“It was a pleasure having the chance to work with Paragon Sports on the new OSU Track and Field Facility. From the beginning of the project they were extremely involved with the pre-planning and coordination of every aspect of the job. They made a point of having someone onsite in every phase to help deliver a quality product, even with a very aggressive completion date,” said Aaron Burns, Project Superintendent for Crossland Construction.
On the heels of the OSU Track completion, Paragon Sports Constructors has been awarded the contract for construction of the new competition running track at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
The new track facility, located to the east of the new Baylor Stadium, will seat 5,000 spectators. Under contract to Austin Flintco, Joint Venture, Paragon Sports Constructors will construct the 11,000 square yard track, natural grass infield and field events in time for the start of the 2014 football season.
