Fort Worth, TX – after 38 years serving in education as a coach, athletic administrator, and advocate for the coaching profession, Philip O’Neal is joining the private sector in a new role with Texas sports contractor Paragon Sports Constructors.
“I have been fortunate to know Philip for many years and have always been impressed with his positive attitude, work ethic, and passion for athletics. He not only brings first-hand experience as a customer to our industry but also a keen business sense for connecting and coaching people. Philip started his career as an assistant basketball coach at Red Oak and Temple ISD’s before accepting his first head basketball coaching position at Copperas Cove ISD. O’Neal then moved to Weatherford ISD, where he led the basketball program for seven years before switching to the athletic administration side of the district in 1999. Philip served at Weatherford ISD as Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Director, and ultimately Executive Director of Athletics until 2012 when his career took him to Fort Bend ISD and then Mansfield ISD for a combined 12 years.

Philip will serve as the Houston area sales representative for Paragon Sports Constructors and continue building on the existing body of work in the area that includes Klein ISD, Houston ISD, Rockport-Fulton ISD, Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, and Willis ISD among others.
