Fort Worth, Texas – Paragon Sports Constructors President, William Chaffe, has been selected to speak at the 2013 American Sports Builders Association Annual Technical Meeting and Trade Show in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, December 9th. During the General Session, Mr. Chaffe will be speaking on the topic of “General Contractors on Jobs Where You are a Sub, Protecting Your Interests.”
“At Paragon Sports we are the General Contractor on jobs about fifty percent of the time and a sub to General Contractors the other fifty percent so we see the Contractor Subcontractor relationship from both sides,” stated Mr. Chaffe. “I am excited to have the opportunity to share our experiences and learn from our peers at the ASBA show in San Antonio.”
William will bring over 25 years of experience in the design, construction and development of commercial projects to the sessions attendees, drawing upon his experience as a consultant, owner’s representative and principal in real estate development prior to his time at the helm of Paragon Sports Constructors. William will speak from experience on both perspectives of the General Contractor/Sub-contractor relationship, the various contractual forms that bind them and how subcontractors can protect themselves through all phases of a project including best practices in bidding, contract negotiations, project performance, and close-out.
