Building on Decades of Legacy: All Star Legacy Fields at Senter Park

Completed facilities at All Star Legacy Park

Originally known as Senter Park, the complex was one of the first little league ballparks in the City of Arlington.  The park has a long history of being one of the first places many young players learn to play baseball, located just two miles from the home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field.  When the All-Star Game and its festivities came to Arlington in 2024, the MLB in partnership with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club chose Senter Park as one of the MLB Legacy Projects, honoring its rich baseball history in the City of Arlington and the long-standing partnership between the city and the Texas Rangers.  The project team chose a longtime partner of the Texas Rangers, Paragon Sports Constructors, to construct the project, finishing it just in time for All Star Week in July.

expanding a legacy

The overall park was showing its age and need for renovation.  The existing grass playing fields were uneven and the project team desired an all-weather solution to host year-round events. With no space for warm-up or additional instruction around the park, the team also desired expansion beyond the playing fields.

“Throughout both projects, Paragon was a team player. From project design and planning through construction, our experience was exceptional. Both projects had multiple stakeholders and strict completion dates as part of the All-Star Week festivities; Paragon kept everyone in the loop through regular communication and weekly updates.”

site upgrades

All Star Legacy Park received upgrades for players and fans alike around the complex. Additional bleachers with shade structures were added to provide a better experience for fans. The newly built brick backstop and dugouts were designed to mimic the red brick prevalent in both Choctaw Stadium and Globe Life Field for the Rangers. New synthetic turf bullpens, scoreboards, fencing, and batting cages topped off the project additions.

“Juan Godinez and his crew did an amazing job on this project.  He ran a smooth process to keep everything on schedule. They even tackled the massive concrete bleacher pads which was hard work in the summer heat.  Everything turned out perfect!”

Corey Seager and his wife Mady generously contributed to the project to help fund the construction of the Corey Seager Batting Cages. The batting cage features four hitting lanes, netting, and interior lighting for practice throughout the day. The surrounding area consists of synthetic turf, providing additional warm-up space for all teams.
