(Arlington, TX) — Paragon Sports Constructors President, William Chaffe, is featured on City of Arlington’s “Ask The Experts” segment this week about the synthetic turf field that will be installed next year for Globe Life Field.
The Texas Rangers announced earlier this year that the club will install a specially designed synthetic grass playing surface for the new Globe Life Field, which opens in March 2020.
The decision to utilize a synthetic grass playing surface was made after the Rangers organization completed almost two years of research to satisfy the club’s total requirements for player safety, team performance, and fan experience.
The synthetic grass field will be provided by Shaw Sports Turf with installation completed by Texas-based Paragon Sports Constructors.
Chaffe has worked for more than 25 years in the design, construction and development of commercial projects, with job experience as a consultant, owner’s representative and principal. Being a local company, Chaffe says Paragon Sports Constructors is proud to be working on Globe Life Field in Arlington.
“We are a North Texas company. We’re located 20 minutes down the road,” Chaffe said. “We have employees that live in Arlington and we have employees that send their kids to Arlington schools. The pride that we will have in this field because of our connections to Arlington is really going to be very special.”
