Natural grass fields require certain activities at the right time throughout the year to be game ready. Whether you decide to handle this in-house or contract someone, here are the recommended activities for the fall and early winter months of Texas so your baseball or softball field is ready for practice.
- Repair or rebuild mounds and home plate areas (as needed)
- Remediate lips
- Add infield clay & conditioner (as needed)
- Re-align bases
- Check irrigation system
- Overseed (if needed)
- Apply pre & post emergent depending on overseeding practices
