The Birdville Independent School District Board of Education voted this past Thursday to enter into a contract with Paragon Sports Constructors to replace the synthetic turf playing field at the Birdville ISD Fine Arts and Athletics Complex.
“The Fine Arts and Athletics Complex in Birdville is a tremendous venue that will now have a new, top of the line synthetic turf system to match the greatness of the facility” stated William Chaffe, President of Paragon Sports Constructors.
Work is set to begin this week with the removal of the nine year old synthetic turf. After some minor refurbishment of the field’s base a new Regupol Abzorb shock pad will be installed followed by the D-Vision 60mm artificial turf system manufactured by Desso Sports Systems of Belgium.
“Birdville ISD and the Athletics Staff for the district did their research, visited multiple turf fields across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and ultimately selected Paragon Sports Constructors and Desso D-Vision turf. Paragon Sports came out on top because of the knowledge and professionalism of the company and the quality of the turf system recommended,” commented Byron Williams, Sales team member for Paragon Sports Constructors.
The new artificial turf field is due for completion mid-August in-time for the first game at the complex on August 25th.
