Fort Worth, TX – after multiple decades working in the sports construction industry, Vice President of Estimating, Rex Shelley, is hanging up his hard hat and retiring from Paragon Sports Constructors.
Rex has been an integral part of Paragon Sports Constructors since its inception in 2009, running the estimating and field operations teams for many years before stepping into the role as Vice President of Estimating in 2021. His leadership and industry knowledge were instrumental to the growth of Paragon throughout the years; Rex served as a selfless lynchpin for PSC and a great mentor for many in the office and out in the field.
Rex previously worked with Superintendent Doug Morgan, Estimator Sharon Hall, Superintendent Juan Godinez, and others before their time at PSC, so it is only fitting that Sharon Hall will be taking over Rex’s day-to-day duties as Vice President of Estimating. “Sharon is whip smart, knows our company well and is one of the most experienced estimators in the industry,” said William Chaffe, President of Paragon Sports Constructors, “She also learned from one of the best in Rex Shelley.”
“I cannot overstate the impact that Rex has had on our company, our culture and all of us. I knew nothing about sports construction when I met Rex in 2009, but like many others in our company, he has taught me a great deal and his daily presence will be missed but we are hopeful he will still join us for a team lunch every now and again,” said William Chaffe.
Rex’s last day at PSC will be Friday, November 7th.
