ABOUT WILLIAM
As President and Chief Operations Officer of Paragon Sports Constructors, William Chaffe provides direction and oversight of day-to-day operations of the company including sales and marketing, estimating and bidding, and operations. William has over 30 years of experience in the design, construction and development of commercial facilities as a consultant, owner’s representative and principal. Being a managing principal and having worked as an owner’s representative, William provides an owner’s perspective and customer driven approach to Paragon Sports Constructors.
Under his leadership, Paragon Sports Constructors has seen an eightfold increase in revenue growth since taking over the company in 2009 and he has repositioned the brand as a market leader. Passionate about improving our industry, William has presented at numerous industry tradeshows including American Sports Builders Association (2013), Texas Recreation and Parks Society (2017), and the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association (2018, 2019), and hosted a regional Sports Performance and Safety Seminar (2015) at FC Dallas Toyota Soccer Center that brought together end users and industry specifiers to create awareness and education about field performance metrics and athlete safety.
William’s education includes a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami, providing the technical understanding, as well as the business savvy to keep Paragon Sports Constructors a leader in sports construction in the region. William has served on the advisory board for Texas Christian University’s Sports Science Center and as the Treasurer of the American Sports Builders Association.
WHAT SPORTS WERE YOU INVOLVED WITH GROWING UP? Everything up until 9th grade, then 100% tennis after that.
FAVORITE ATHLETES GROWING UP? Archie Manning & John McEnroe.
FAVORITE SPORTS MEMORY? Watching the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team.
