WHAT SPORTS or ACTIVITIES WERE YOU INVOLVED WITH GROWING UP? I played baseball, football, and basketball in little league while growing up. I managed to settle in on baseball and take it more serious. I played shortstop and 2nd baseman.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS MEMORY? My favorite sports memory was watching the Astros win their first World Series championship. I remember walking out the house and seeing the whole neighborhood outside full of excitement.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB? Blending the excitement of playing sports with the art of building sports fields creates a unique and fulfilling experience. It’s like being involved in both worlds—living the action on the field while also shaping the space where others can share that same thrill. As someone passionate about sports, there’s a special satisfaction in knowing that the field or facility I’m building will provide athletes with a place to perform and fans with a space to cheer. Working alongside architect knowing you’re contributing to something that can have a lasting cultural impact on the community makes the entire process incredibly fulfilling. There’s nothing better than to see people playing sports on something that you created.
WHAT DRIVES YOU EACH DAY? I’m married and have two kids. They inspire me to strive to give them a life that’s better than the one I had. The moments of joy when they see my face in the morning or in the evening will never get old. They can turn a bad day into a great day. Their boundless energy, curiosity, and optimism remind me to never stop striving for growth and improvement. I want to create a world for them where they can reach their fullest potential and experience the best of what life has to offer.
