Fort Worth—February 11, 2014— Paragon Sports Constructors has cemented their place as a leader in complex sophisticated sports construction projects across Texas with the award of four fields at Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips Consolidated Independent School District.

The project consists of the construction of new synthetic turf baseball and softball fields, a new synthetic turf football and soccer field at the district stadium and a new synthetic turf multi-purpose field at the high school, all four fields will be surfaced with synthetic turf products manufactured by Astroturf.

The PSPCISD project is not the only multi-field award for Paragon Sports Constructors recently; the company has also been awarded a four field project at San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District where crews are putting the finishing touches on new Desso synthetic turf softball and baseball fields.  Paragon Sports Constructors will also build the synthetic turf field at SMCISD’s new stadium and indoor facility later this year, both of which will also be surfaced by Desso Sports Systems synthetic turf products.

“We have seen an increase in the number of multi-field projects executed over the last three or four years, particularly here in Texas where owners are trying to balance water restrictions with increased demand of their sports fields,” commented William Chaffe, President of Paragon Sports Constructors.  “We are fortunate to have been awarded many of these multi-field projects such as the Plemons and San Marcos projects this year and our work for Grapevine-Colleyville and Fort Worth ISD’s in recent years.”

As Chaffe notes, complexity and sophisticated design are not exclusive to multi-field projects.

“Some of our most challenging projects are single site projects that have very technical, high-end design requirements, such as the Baylor track project or are part of a total stadium renovation, such as the Alamo Stadium project.”  Chaffe adds, “At Alamo Stadium, and San Marcos, we are just a part of a much larger project and must take into consideration other contractors and their scope of work.  Integrating our work into a large project with other contractors while maintaining quality and on-time performance takes a lot of experience to balance.”

Paragon Sports Constructors’ experience, record for producing quality work and performing on-time is something owners are taking into consideration when deciding what contractors to work with for their sports field and track construction projects.

“After extensive research, including talking to many athletic administrators around the state, and taking price, durability, trust and references into consideration, we selected Paragon Sports to build our new turf field and track as we renovate Alamo Stadium,” noted Gil Garza, Executive Director of Athletics for San Antonio Independent School District.  “We can’t wait for the project to be finished so we can show it off.”
