Paragon Sports Constructors has been contracted by Tulsa Public Schools as General Contractor to convert the natural grass field at Hale High School to Desso iDNA synthetic turf.
Shortly following the public bid opening, and as low-bidder per the specifications, Paragon Sports Constructors was awarded the contract for Hale High School synthetic turf at the May 16thboard meeting.
Hale and Rogers High School will both receive new Desso iDNA synthetic turf fields this summer. The fields will be amongst the first iDNA installations in the United States.
“The iDNA product is the finest quality turf product available on the market and features a unique fiber shape not found in any other manufacturer’s product. The double arch of the fiber makes it extremely resistant to splitting, UV degradation and wear. Lisport test results for this product are unlike any other I’ve seen in my 20 years of experience,” stated Bret Allen, VP of Sales & Marketing for Paragon Sports Constructors. (Lisport tests measure how much a synthetic turf system will wear down with use over the course of its life.)
“These fields will set the new standard for synthetic turf sports fields in the U.S. & we couldn’t be more excited to play a key role in their installation,” added Jeff Gossett, Sales
Team Member for Paragon Sports.
Paragon Sports Constructors has been contracted to resurface the running track at Memorial Stadium for Frisco Independent School District.
“We are excited to continue our history of service to Frisco ISD with this project” commented William Chaffe, President of Paragon Sports Constructors.
Memorial Stadium already features a Desso D-Vision synthetic turf field that was installed by Paragon Sports in 2009 as a replacement of the original artificial surface that was built by Paragon crews in 2001.
“This field is one of our flagship installations for Desso synthetic turf in the Texas market and we are proud to be resurfacing the track and bring it up to the same level of quality as the field,” said Bret Allen, VP of Sales and Marketing for Paragon Sports.
The stadium will receive a new Conipur ISP impermeable structural spray track surface manufactured by BASF/Conica, one D-area will also receive the impermeable spray coatsystem while the second D-area will receive a Conipur SW surface.
“Frisco is a large, progressive, and growing district that has done their research and kept up with the evolution of sports surface technology. They recognize and appreciate the history of quality the BASF/Conica brand stands for and have many successful Conica installations throughout the district,” said William Chaffe.
Paragon Sports Constructors field crews are wrapping-up another top quality turf and track installation for Dallas Independent School
“The turf installation is complete and our crews will be surfacing the running track at Wilmer Hutchins High School Stadium in the coming weeks,” said Rex Shelley, Project
Manager for Paragon Sports Constructors.
The stadium renovation is part of the total renovation of Wilmer Hutchins High School located on the south side of Dallas; Paragon Sports Constructors is working as a subcontractor to Warrior/McCarthy Builders on the project, which is scheduled to be complete this summer. Desso D-Vision 60mm synthetic turf was installed earlier this spring and the Conipur SP track surface will be completed in time to turn over the school to the district in July.
“Our personnel have constructed several stadium fields and running tracks for the district in the past, including the track and field at Jesse Owens Complex. We’re excited to do it again and to bring the district the best quality products available,” said Bret Allen, VP Sales and Marketing for Paragon Sports.
When Fieldturf needed a contractor for three intramural soccer fields at UTSA they chose Paragon Sports Constructors.
Under contract to Fieldturf, Paragon Sports field crews began moving dirt on the nearly 8 acre site last week. The three intramural fields will be surfaced with Fieldturf’s new
Revolution synthetic turf product and are slated for completion in late August.
“This is a big job and we are proud to have been selected by Fieldturf to build these fields for UTSA,” commented Rex Shelley, Project Manager for Paragon Sports
Constructors. “Their selection of PSC for such a high profile customer shows confidence in our company,” added William Chaffe, President of Paragon Sports Constructors.
“The San Antonio area has been a good market for Paragon Sports Constructors, with the Bobcat Stadium track for Texas State, and Wheatley Heights Sports Complex –
we’re excited to add another high-profile project to our list and look forward to seeing the finished product later this summer,” said Bret Allen, VP of Sales and Marketing for
Paragon Sports Constructors.
The UTSA soccer fields are the second project Paragon Sports and Fieldturf have contracted together this year, the first being the construction of a new turf football field
in New Orleans, Louisiana slated for completion in late July.
